Last updated: March 9, 2026
This policy explains what data Flute Music Bot processes, why it is used, and what controls users and server admins have.
1. Data We Process
- Discord account and server metadata required for bot operation (IDs, usernames, avatars, server IDs, channel IDs).
- Music command inputs from slash commands and interaction components (buttons/select menus).
- Prefix/mention command messages (for example,
!play, !queue) only when required for legacy command support.
- Premium/payment and account profile data needed to activate paid features.
2. How Data Is Used
- To execute music playback commands and manage queue, voice session, and dashboard features.
- To authenticate users via Discord OAuth and show account/premium status.
- To provide diagnostics, abuse prevention, and service reliability monitoring.
3. Message Content Handling
- Message content is read only for bot commands that start with the configured prefix or bot mention.
- Unrelated conversations are not used for analytics, profiling, or advertising.
- Message content is not used to train machine-learning or AI models.
4. Retention and Storage
- Command parsing is real-time. Message content is not stored long-term by default.
- Minimal temporary logs may be kept for troubleshooting and security, then removed.
- Access to operational data is limited to maintainers with legitimate support/maintenance need.
5. User and Admin Controls
- Users can stop interactions by not using prefix commands and switching to slash commands.
- Server admins can remove the bot from a server at any time to stop data processing in that server.
- For account-related requests, contact support using the support server link below.
6. Third-Party Services
- Discord API services for bot operation and authentication.
- Payment service providers for premium purchases, where applicable.
- Music source/provider integrations required for playback features.
